Ota Ward’s Annoucement of its 10 year growth plan

Ota Ward, Tokyo: In 2018, the plan “Formulation of Growth Strategy at the site of Haneda Airport” with a budget of 463.13 million yen (approx 3.7 million USD) outlines the ward’s plans to develop the surrounding area of Haneda Airport centered on the idea of making the place a hub for new industries and culture exchange for the next 10 years.

Within the budget, 327 million yen will be devoted to infrastructure development, such as the development of tourist attractions and green spaces along the Kamata/Omori/Coastal Area/Haneda Airport. The ward has also announced plans to improve facilities to meet demands for the elderly population with the campaign “Ota-ku Genki Senior Citizens Project” and to rebuild old school buildings for children. In addition, business start-ups will also receive support from the budget to invigorate the ward and promote economic activity.

On the site near Haneda Airport, 1,706 accommodation facilities will be built near the construction of a new bridge called “Haneda Road” connecting from Kawasaki to Haneda. These developments are currently underway. : https://flyteam.jp/news/article/90575
